Ride To Rema Kalenga Reserved Forest

 The journey begins!

It was my first hill-ride with Trekkers Bd. According to the plan I got onto the truck with my cycle.I was a baffled to see 10-15 cycle parked in the front side of the truck and all the riders huddled together, in their mood of euphoria .I got on along with my fellow friend from Narayangonj and the founder of Trekkers Bd,Tarik bhai. As soon as we sat and set ourselves on the truck it started drizzling and started chilling our bones. I had no raincoat and a mobile in my pocket and was feeling helpless among all unknown faces. It was a shower of worries in the form of icy cold water. The trip would have been my worst trip if Tariq bhai didnt have a spare rain coat which me and Rifat shared throughout the night until Shreemangal! It rained throughtout the day and we woke up in a bright chilled morning.

In the morning
This is how we looked in the morning.Took a break brushed our teeth, had tea and then set for Lawachara National Park.Through greenery we went on along with the drizzling and made a frustrating pause at Lawachara: authority didn't let us in with our cycles. With a dull mood and desperate hearts we began to prepare our cycles because we would  start here and rest of the people went in quest for the restroom! :P
As soon as we started paddling we all were back to our spirit: the roads we too clean and well pitched,it was  greener and more peaceful than i have ever seen.I was very excited after all it was my first trip.

The rain went on and on. As if someone blessed us with rain which would not stop any how.Though miraculously we found that few areas are dry like bones and there was no sign of rain, but before we dried ourselves enough we got into the neighboring areas where it was flooding literary.I forgot the names of the routes through which we have been through thus i am just sharing the moment without where actually it all happened. Our tires all got heavy and sticky with sticky-red mud of Sylhet. Finally we reached a river and across which awaited our destination,Rema.

The entry into the forest was a very great start. It still flashes in my brain. The paths we all wet and the mud was washed away thus the up-going hill got tricky and slippery.WE all rushed to go up one after another in a friendly race manner. Most of them succeed and others ....
"I remind the rain was on ". The ups and downs and rushing between bushes began. The friendly monster of rainy day, leeches started to get into our pants and t-shirts. As if accidentally we all got into a garden of leeches. At least 4-5 of us got victim of the blood sucker;my first experience of leech bite was in this trip.It was  a day full of adrenalin rush. The thrill of getting down from a steep, muddy and slippery hill can never be expressed in words.I have tried to collects photos as much as possible and uploaded them, since photos would convey more information then my words would and words are boring too!

This tour can give you a hint about how a off road trail can be and how thrilling a ride might be.Due to weather difficulties our tour got messy and  lack of photos and videos has limited my words for explaining how awesome this trip might be for you.Bandhu Garage sponsored by Grameen Phone has been there too with bunch of riders and i am sharing their video so that you might get a better understanding of the thrill!
(I was not selected for the trip!)

Photos and videos are Collected from Trekker Bd and Bandhu Garage
