Ride to Gazipur

A hectic road towards the outskirt of Dhaka city: routined jam, occasional road constructions and sewage lines-repair has nominated this road as the second worst road of my cycling experience.

I started in an early morning of winter: roads were comparably less congested and traffic was less.
Stopping by Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and then getting to see the flights taking off  at the back yard can be a great experience for all.
From my personal experience I would suggest riders to avoid the main roads-" air is all dusty and stinky on wards after airport".
However after crossing Tongi it will begin to seem greener. Kilometers of vegetation done by the locals and the Forest Ministry Of Bangladesh.

Now and then picnic and film-shooting spots will knock you to peak in. " Follow your heart"- the red soil,and the green vegetation will take you away to a different land of mystery and I guarantee anyone will love this experience.And if you can have a friend who can have fun and is a good companion then paddle on man!

A break at this enormous land of trees ,birds and lake and roaming around on horse back will gift you a sweet memory for life. In case of emergency you might take a short energizing nap or lay for a while in their well maintained rest houses.
Do not get too stuck there as there are more to see-" I know this place deserves a stay over :p ".

After seeing the main gate I didn't expect the park to blow my ,mind the way it did.

 Video, article, website, facebook page  are not enough to uphold the beauty of this park to you.

There are no cycle parking facility,you need to park at your own risk - I would suggest you all to park it beside a restaurant, where you must have had snacks/lunch and tipped the waiter extra bucks.
           



Among everything I loved few things the most:
1. Roaming around the park on a giant, ELEPHANT.
2. Walking through the butterfly garden and seeing the process of breeding in real-" It was fabulous".
3.Walking inside the birds' cage, especially the MACAW WORLD-" never seen such a great collection of birds !"
4. Roaming among the wild animals on bus-" for the first time witnessed wild carnivores and herbivores outside the cage. In fact I watched them few inches away-thrilling  "

Simple route, roaming around the tigers, meeting the vultures , sun-bathing with crocodiles, dancing with the butterflies and singing with birds will compel you to visit again.
